As the Chief Innovation Officer of WirtschaftsWoche, Léa develops products and live experiences for Germany's leading business magazine. In her role, she has helped bring the 90-year-old brand into and beyond the 21st century with innovative solutions including a virtual reality platform, an algorithmic interface to expand the company's newsletter portfolio, and a chatbot, as well as an event called FutureBoard which revolves around AI, robotics, IoT, and the future of work.
Together with fellow House Resident and publisher, Miriam Meckel, she hosts a weekly livestream on digital developments and used to analyze the impact of algorithms on markets and democracy in a bi-weekly column called Code Capital. Most recently, she co-founded ada, WirtschaftsWoche’s new platform for exchange and training for tomorrow’s digital economy.
Prior to joining Handelsblatt Media Group, Léa worked for social justice organizations in Bosnia-Hercegovina, Rwanda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. A German native, raised European, she holds an MPP from Harvard's Kennedy School of Government, a BA in International Affairs from Princeton University, and an IB from the United World College of the Atlantic.
