HoBBster activations are events and programs led by enrolled members (HoBBsters) of the House of Beautiful Business (HoBB). These activations can range from local meetups and learning journeys to conferences and retreats, and they must be aligned with the HoBB mission and ethos of creating a life-centered economy. As an organizer, you’ll get to lead these activations, leveraging the HoBB platform for promotion and engagement, while keeping 90% of the revenue generated. We retain a 10% platform fee off the total revenue generated by the activation.

To host your own HoBBster activation, you must be an enrolled member (HoBBster) in the HoBB. Your enrollment covers the costs of our team’s community support and ensures that hosts are aligned with our community’s values and have a thorough understanding of the kind of impactful, meaningful engagements we stand for. The membership costs 475 Euros + VAT, is valid for 12 months, and does not auto-renew.

There are many benefits! Not only will you benefit from HoBB endorsement and promotion (see below), but you’ll forge deeper connections within the HoBB community, gain visibility, co-create visions for the life-centered economy, all the while retaining 90% of the activation’s revenue.

HoBBster activations focus on content that builds on the conversation about beautiful business practices. While you can share your expertise and tools, these activations are not meant for direct promotion of products or services.

We’ll spread the news! The HoBB will endorse and promote approved activations through various channels, including our website, our newsletter (30,000 subscribers), and our social media channels (50,000 followers), giving your event high visibility within a values-aligned target audience.

Our team reserves the right to withdraw support from any activation that doesn’t reflect our core values or meet our quality standards.

HoBBsters are responsible for financing and managing their activations, and providing the House with 10% of their total revenue.

Yes! Third-party partners, such as businesses, nonprofits, and speakers, can enhance the quality of your content and extend the reach of your event. So long as your selected partner aligns with the HoBB's values, they are welcome to join in.

The HoBB is there to provide marketing support and guidance on best practices for your activation. We also offer a community platform where you can discuss ideas, ask for advice, and connect with potential contributors and partners.

If an activation must be canceled, organizers are expected to notify attendees promptly and comply with their refund policy. We encourage organizers to outline these policies clearly in the event registration materials to manage expectations effectively.

Organizers must comply with all applicable data protection laws, including GDPR if operating within the EU. Attendee data should be handled securely, and privacy policies must be transparently communicated to all participants. This includes being clear about how data will be used and ensuring that consent is obtained where necessary.

As a HoBBster, you’ll manage all financial aspects of your activation. The HoBB requires a 10% share of the total revenue generated from the ticket sales, sponsorships, and other sources. This contribution is based on an honesty policy, where you are expected to report the total revenue to us within one week after the activation’s conclusion.

Ticket sales and all related financial transactions are managed directly by you, the HoBBster organizer. The House does not sell tickets or handle payments for HoBBster activations, nor do we take on liability related to the execution of the event.

Activations will not be co-branded, but you may reference “Powered by the House of Beautiful Business” or “with the kind support of the House of Beautiful Business.”
