Changes in Mood

Changes in Mood is an experimental film by Michèle Saint-Michel. This work is part of a larger body of work that addresses the symptoms and lived experience of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). In North America, about 10 of every 100 women (or 10%) develop PTSD sometime in their lives, and sexual assault is the most frequent cause of PTSD in women.

Michèle Saint-Michel is an artist, experimental filmmaker, and author. Designed to promote healing, her works encourage healthy coping and recovery from difficult experiences. Saint-Michel’s work is deeply rooted in experiential time and cultural constructions of the feminine. Her films have been named Official Selections and screened at art and international film festivals around the world. Her first experiential art book, Grief Is an Origami Swan, was released in August 2020.

Hattie Cooke is a solo artist and composer (Brighton, UK) who has been writing and performing since the age of 17. Having supported a number of acclaimed songwriters including RM Hubbert, Jeffrey Lewis, Haiku Salut, and more, Hattie Cooke has garnered a reputation as a writer of gently crafted melancholic pop and folk songs.

In 2016, she released her eponymous debut album with Third Kind Records, and since 2017 she has been working as a co-writer for music producers. Hattie completed her first soundtrack album 'The Sleepers' in 2019, which was released on Spun Out of Control to critical acclaim. She is also the founder of Patch Bae Records, which was set up to help musicians during the Coronavirus pandemic. Hattie's third album is set for release in 2021.
