Nobody would say they are unempathetic, right? Though true empathy, the ability to see the world through someone else’s eyes, is not only about being nice, nor is it about pity or sympathy.

We learned how to use empathy as a powerful leadership tool and practice.

This session was led by Michael Ventura, CEO of award-winning strategy and design practice Sub Rosa. He has worked with such iconic brands and institutions as General Electric, Google, Nike, Warby Parker, the United Nations, and the Obama Administration, and is the author of the book Applied Empathy.

In addition, House musician-in-residence Benjamin Schlez shared a musical perspective on empathy.
