New Power is Worker's Power

Jess Kutch talks about the state of power in the workforce, and the intention behind Coworker.org, a digital platform for people to make change in the workplace. Since its launch in 2013, the platform has catalyzed the growth of global, independent employee networks resulting in success stories such as paid parental leave benefits at Netflix, scheduling reform at Starbucks, as well as wage increases at a Southern U.S. restaurant chain.

A digital innovator, Jess has 15 years’ experience at the intersection of social change and technology. Prior to her role at Coworker, Jess led a team of campaigners at Change.org, providing strategic support to the site’s users. She also spent five years with the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), where she pioneered digital strategies for the labor movement.
